    My Other Reviews·AT&T Midwest
I live in Southeastern Wisconsin in the county of Waukesha out in the country and I'm a new subscriber to Road Runner. I just had it installed yesterday which only took about 1 1/2 hours. The installer asked me if I would assist him with running the cable from the box, drilling the holes,... I agreed, and he said thank you because he had 3 other appointments that very day. Well, after the BRAND-NEW (normally the cable company does everything in their power to avoid this) cable was installed and the modem was hooked up he started to configure my computer. He actually tweaked it himself, and it runs about 50% faster. He said that normally he doesn't do that, but he was being nice because I helped him out. Man, this guy knew a lot. He is Microsoft certified in Win 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, and even XP. He was clicking a mile a minute. I asked him what would happen if I upgraded to XP. He stated that Road Runner would work fine, but the customer support and tech support at Time Warner would be very unhelpful because they haven't been trained on XP yet. My speeds at 3:30 on Saturday were 1.5 down and 350 up. Very good seeing as how I live way out in the country. I checked last night and the speeds were 1.8 down and 450 up. I also signed a sheet that stated that Time Warner guaranteed down speeds of at least 750. He told me that I should be well above that for a long time because not a lot of people in my neighborhood have Road Runner and he also stated that they don't intend on lowering the bandwidth anytime soon. So I'm a happy camper The only downfall is that if I ever have to reformat my computer then everything that he did in the way of tweaks will be lost. I'm very satisified as of right now. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I got free professional installation and two free months of Road Runner with a 30-day money back guarantee
