Ordered 5/19/07 in combination with new POTS Service. POTS went live 5/22/07, tech tried to get his manager to let him get the work order to light up the DSL on our line, in his words: "It only takes 5 minutes, its just switching you to a different card". But the manager wouldn’t do it. Possibly because PUCO regulations. Since the CLECs cant do it that fast, thus the level playing field. Modem arrived 5/23/07 via UPS 2 Day air, did not ask, request, or pay for it to come that way that was the standard method they chose. With the Assistance of David (formally BeachBoy) in AT&T Direct, I was able to register an att.net email address (instead of the old sbcglobal.net ones the FAQ link sends you to.) Plugged 2 Wire Modem in and no signal yet on the night before. Checked AT&T Account Manager for the Due Date/Time it was 5/24/07 12:00 CDT. And sure enough at 1pm EST i had a solid green light. I will update this review as necessary as time goes by.
