[Mp3] How to delete read-only files in flash drive?

I recently bought a mp3 player cum flash drive but what annoys me is the programme that auto runs (some music player programme which they try to install for me) everytime I plug the drive in. I've tried deleting the files but they are read-only files and access is denied.

Is there anyway I can get rid of those files? The auto-run installation is quite annoying.

look at this dumb effin thing (Twitter gadget)

http://gizmodo.com/5396213/the-twitterpeek-is-so-dumb-it-makes-my-brain-hurt?skyline=true&s=x

http://www.zatznotfunny.com/2009-11/hands-on-with-twitterpeek/

Really? Why a portable device that just does twitter? That's such a dumb thing. I have an IPhone and why not just use that, or a twitter blackberry app, or twitter android app, or twitter windows mobile app, etc...

Heck even twitter via WAP browser... but an additional device just to tweet, and it doesn't even do it that well!

I apologise if this is the wrong forum - just wondering if anyone has experience with Amazon's Kindle Reader. In particular I would like to hear from users outside the US and how good it works and how restrictive downloads are (country specific?).

Auto-syncing clocks...

To all of you who have auto-syncing clocks / watches...

I have one of those Oregon Scientific clocks that syncs to accurate time via radio waves. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the technology behind how this works - are there radio towers nearby, or does it sync via one transmitter & use shortwave to bounce off the ionosphere?

Anyway, in central Maryland, my clock hasn't been sync'ed in about 3 weeks, and it normally never misses a beat. --No major change / microwave ovens / computer wireless... Does anyone know why this signal in central MD may have vanished 3 weeks ago?

I reset the clock, and have it sitting in my attic! --(as high up as I can go) to catch a weak signal...
