READ ***Just a Reminder*** - What is SCU?

In a help thread, please allow a helper to respond and do not post to the thread, nor otherwise hamper efforts
**PLEASE NOTE**If you have a thread elsewhere on site, it will not be moved here. You must follow the steps & start a new topic.

SCU is the »Security Cleanup Forum.

If you haven't evidence of active malware or infection this is not the place for diagnosis.
We do not "analyze" for the curious.

If you have security concerns, or desire discussions... post to the general Security Forum

*HiJackThis is not the answer to everyday computer issues....nor is it a silver bullet to diagnosing your computer*

A slow computer doesn't necessarily mean malware. See this by miekiemoes See Profile for info: »users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/miek···ter.html

•Logs & issues are not reviewed here that haven't followed the posting rules:

----Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance

•DO NOT run tools that we do not ask for
See this post: »Re: Combofix

•Those not following the forum requirements for posting will find their threads closed, moved or removed

•This forum exists for assisting with active malware infections only.

• Special fixes for certain infections are found in the main forum on the left sidebar

•Tools such as HijackThis are normally run when there's an indication of infection -or- as a precursor to combating a more complex issue.

•If you have symptoms of active infection, and performed pre-clean requirements -then "Security Cleanup" experts will be here to assist.

Notes:

If you are running a "cracked" or illegal copy of Windows XP, please obtain a legal license, reinstall XP cleanly, and post back only if you believe you then still have any malware issues.

We do not handle business or work environments here on a network of pc's, please consult your IT and/or administrator.

As a matter of etiquette, you should stick with one forum.
If you are getting help in another forum then you should inform the other - this way there is never "duplication" of members time & efforts.
