[IL] Mediacom redirector came back and I can't remove it

After not seeing it for months the Mediacom redirect service came back. When I type in a search in the address bar, it comes up with garbage suggestions. It is not listed in my search options, I have flushed the DNS, I have opted out, I have connected directly to the cable modem and opted out. Nothing I can do seems to get rid of it.
Has anyone had any success in permanently removing this?

Change your DNS servers.

If you would PM me your HFC MacID (aka CMAC) I would like to investigate this right away. You should be able to opt-out without issue.

Once you login you can just click on his user name and send a message.

I've clicked on his user name but it only said I could instant message him; his e-mail address is private.

You want to send him an instant message (same as private message). That's how he responds.

I have to opt out every few months. I finally gave up and switched the whole home network to another DNS service. Much better.

I have been using opendns for a long time now and do not see DNS issues. Not that mediacom has DNS issues, but there were a few times when I did. I switched my router over to opendns and forgotten about it.

Sorry, I've been away. You can email me at bainch@mchsi.com although I prefer the IM solution (helps me keep communications that start here from getting mixed up with others.)
