[DIRECTV] Can't order PPV via phoneline

I hooked a phone line into my HD DVR today (I think it's an HR20, don't hold me too that) and I can't get the damned thing to work.

I hooked it up, and tested it's connection. It said it made a connection to the internet on the network connection page, but it won't order a movie. Keeps telling me to hook it to a phone jack.

I know the jack works, and the cable works. I even made a test call using both jack and cable. It just won't do it.

Is the thing borked? Or is there an option I missed. It isn't that big of a deal, but sometimes I'd like to order from my couch without having to drag myself to the PC, login and find the movie on their site.

yes both are/were. I tried without the ethernet plugged in, still didn't work.

call direct tv and have them force your box to dial in.

Most likely it is on the end of the CSR, in most cases that when the phone line has never been installed, when the installer calls in to activate the box they are asked if the line was connected, if it was not then the phone service on that box is turned off, you will need to call and ask them to turn it back on for you. That is only the case if the phone line passes in the system test, not the Ethernet/network line.
