It sounds like you may have some signal issues.

thanks , really don't know, Some channels are good, some are like this, but the channels that are like this are sometimes best . So maybe its a bad transmission. Same goes for MSG 2 and MSG + 2 , like I mentioned, MSG 27 and MSG + 48 , are better signal strengths than 51 (MSG 2) and 199 (MSG + 2) .

I called again 718 816 8686 for the 3090 boxes, and still nothing. Is there another number I can call for the release date in Staten Island for these, I hear they are in Queens and Manhattan. Are they in Brooklyn as well and is the 3090 the only "New " box NYC TWC is having right now

its not "signal strength"...but its bandwith that TW is allocating to those channels. MSG and MSG+ are full time sports channels and given proper bandwith. overflow games on channel 51 which is normally TV Guide is analog (even on digital boxes) so it looks grainy. TV guide digital is on ch157. ch199 is nothing except a TW logo so very little bandwith is given to it.

ok , they don't have MSG 2 on Ch. 157 for digital , and i look it now and its looks bad as well. I have the 8300 HDC , but Ive had the 8300 series since 2006 , so I guess 3 years and its on its way out , I hope to see improvement on the 3090 boxes. Even the 4250 boxes are newer than the 8300 , even though the 4250 is regular HD

Every game varies in PQ. As a subsriber to MLB-EI on Directv, I see many HD channels & their varying PQ. Most FSNs are mediocre, while SNY, MASN, NESN & YES look superb. ESPN is different every game, too. A lot has to do with equipment at each stadium. Last nights Mets game did look bad on ESPN, but I didn't check SNY.

why dont u try component to see if its better than HDMI rather than ask here. is the rocketfish HDMI cable bought from Best Buy better than the rocketdish HDMI cable sold @ best buy in manhattan?

SNY HD and ESPN HD looked both the same for me watching the game

ESPN HD, YES HD and SNY HD are together in the same QAM. Time Warner cable in nyc compress every cable channel except the locals NBC HD ect. It will not matter what kind of new HD box you get, you still will see the same results. I don't know the tech genius at TWC decides to put three sports channels in the same QAM. In order to get the same type of picture quality that you could see on FIOS or DirecTV TWC would have to put 2 HD channels Per QAM or switch to MPEG-4, but they will have to switch every cable box to a new model.
This company will doom itself if they don't get their act together, because Verizon will eat their lunch.

looks the same everyday , why wasnt TV Guide replaced with Digital with the DTV switchover, yes TWC has TV Guide on Channel 157, that also is not digital quality
