[Windsor] Is one modem better than another?

HI All,
Currently I have an RCA DCM315 that has had some intermittent problems lately. Its about three years old. I know at the time when I got it it was "the best" router to obtain maximum speeds. Is there a specific modem I should ask for when exchanging this one?

Windsor, ON		 Thanks! I went through tech support and they told me to exchange it. Not my idea. I just don't want to get a poor performing modem.
