record videos displayed on the web

tahoejeff join:2001-07-01 Wisconsin Dells, WI clubs:	record videos displayed on the web This seems like it would be a common question, but a search of this forum was useless. When I watch a video on a site like maxim.com, it would seem this would be a file downloaded to my pc. I've looked in temporary internet files, but it's not there. Is there free software that will capture the video in the same high quality I am viewing? I know there are tools that work for sites like youtube but even then, the quality is reduced on the capture. -- The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth

Dude111 An Awesome Dude Premium join:2003-08-04 USA 1 edit	Yes its there but you have to grab it while the movie is playing.... The best way i discovered is finding the file AND MAKING IT 'READ ONLY' so it cant be removed when you close the movie window.. (Then you can convert it,etc)
