I would like to try it but we'll never see it and if I happen to be wrong feel free to bash me. One thing is for sure if all we'll have coming is a little extra upstream it'll be hard to justify a change to this product. Unless the TV portion is waaay cheaper.

Uverse is a package deal to where we are currently offering
IPTV
High Speed Internet
And soon VOIP
in One package.
FTTP is nothing more than a designation for the physical carrier. It does not specifically list if you are on the DSL or Uverse Infrastructure.
Currently, Richardson Texas does not have Uverse deployed so you are on the DSL infrastructure.

Michigan has not been turned up yet. Not sure where this map and info are coming from. The only states that have Uverse today are Texas and California. Wisconsin is next followed by Indiana and then I believe Michigan. |

SQirl, I have a question:
If you happen to be in Richardson and you happen to be FTTH, does this necessarily mean that we are going to get Uverse more quickly than say an ADSL customer in Dallas or wherever?
I understand why ATT has changed most of Richardson from FTTC to FTTH and it was not to speed up getting Uverse here. But now that we got it, why not use it? |

Was in a Houston, Tx AT&T Cingular store today.
He said same thing about Wisconsin being next. Roll out in Texas is happening as fast at they can.
They had a TV running it in the store, the picture was HORRIBLE! No HD content that we could find.
Channel changes were REALLY fast and responsive. Was available about 1 mile east of me, in the Galleria area. |
